First, the educational institution must be recognized the Board of Registered Nursing in the state or province where it is situated; Second, the credibility and reputation of the educational institution must be taken into consideration because of its high standard of education; Third, the reputation of the school or university based on the passing score or percentage of its examinees that became professional nurses.

Most universities offer a four-year study for a degree in Nursing. Science class basically deals on subjects like chemistry, anatomy, biology, psychology, pharmacology and the like. The last year of schooling usually requires the nursing student to complete a specified number of hours in hospitals, clinics or medical institutions as a trainee.
